From trying to fit in, to designing what doesn’t
Standing at almost six feet tall and never one for blending in, Sam learned early that conformity was overrated. Jewellery became her rebellion and her confidence; a way to take up space on her own terms.
After studying at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin, she trained in Florence, Cork, and Amsterdam, before earning a Master’s in Luxury Product Design in Milan. Now based at London’s Goldsmiths’ Centre, she creates jewellery that does for others what it once did for her–power, humour, and a little defiance in gold.
Jewellery for what comes after
There’s a drawer in almost every home filled with jewellery no one talks about. A ring from a past life, a necklace that doesn’t sit right anymore. Too valuable to sell, too loaded to wear, too tangled up in old meaning to forget.
SAM HAM exists for those pieces and for the people ready to reclaim them. It’s about the aftermath, the endings, pivots, and transformations that deserve something better than silence.
“Sam helped me design a ring for my best friend who was recently divorced, a mother of three, and about to turn 40. I wanted something meaningful to mark the start of her new chapter, and Sam was a joy to work with from kick-off to delivery. I couldn't recommend her more highly!”
