Design your own piece with SAM HAM’s Bespoke Jewellery Service
Got an idea for a jewellery design that you want to bring to life to make a piece truly unique to you? Work with Sam to make it happen!
Together with Sam you can upcycle old pieces you already have or design from scratch to create everything from contemporary bespoke engagement and wedding rings, to gifts for any occasion: big milestone birthdays, graduations, naming ceremonies, christenings, anniversaries – you name it.
How does the consultation service work?
For a truly tailored service, designed to work to your specific needs and budget, start by filling out the questionnaire below.
Doing so kicks off a series of steps necessary to design your dream custom piece. Here’s a quick rundown of what the typical process involves:
What’s what: We receive your questionnaire which lets us know what kind of occasion, date and budget you have in mind for your project.
Let’s chat: We organise a free consultation (either online or in-person at our studio in the Goldsmiths Centre in London) to chat through your initial design ideas.
Development deposit: When you’re happy with the proposed design plans, we ask you to submit an initial deposit of 10% of the overall price of your piece. This covers concept development, 3D scanning (if needed) and secures your project’s final delivery date.
Design review: Sam will send you a document containing 2 - 4 design options in the form of 3D models, so that you can view 360-degree model versions of your design before it is made. We can also schedule a follow up consultation here to talk through the designs, if you so wish.
Design review round two: Based on your feedback from the previous design review, Sam will present you with your updated designs.
Materials deposit: Once you’re totally happy with the finished design and you’ve chosen the stones/materials you want to work with, we ask for a second deposit, this time representing 50% of the quote provided.
Signed, sealed, delivered: Your unique design is made, hallmarked and polished. It is then delivered either in person or via registered post or courier. With the delivery you will receive your final invoice, which lists the final 40% of the total cost. Free shipping for UK orders.
How much does a bespoke piece cost?
Custom wedding bands start from £1000 and upcycling projects (that is, pieces made from materials you give to Sam to work with) and bespoke designs start from £2,500.
After that, we work within the confines of your specific budget. You can rest assured that the final price will never exceed your pre-disclosed limit.
